Flexible, Simple, and Easy to Use
The Lenovo ThinkSystem DB610S features up to 24 Fibre Channel (FC) ports in a low-cost, efficiently designed 1U form factor, delivering industry-leading Gen 6 FC technology. This entry-level, enterprise-class switch offers “pay-as-you-grow” scalability with Ports on Demand (PoD).
Organizations can quickly, easily, and cost-effectively start small and grow on demand from 8 to 24 ports. Each of the 24 SFP+ ports support 4, 8, 16, and 32Gbps FC speeds. The ThinkSystem DB610S provides excellent overall value and the agility needed to deliver rapid deployments to meet user demands and support higher growth.
Performance for Evolving Storage
Faced with increased competition and the need to deliver differentiated services, organizations rely on leading technology to help them catapult their business and grow revenue. Lenovo Gen 6 FC delivers the industry’s most advanced 32Gbps performance to redefine the limits of the highest speeds in application performance and to unleash the full potential of new storage technologies.
The ThinkSystem DB610S combines market-leading Gen 6 throughput and low latency with an affordable switch form factor, making it ideal for small to midsize businesses to build a flash-ready infrastructure that adapts to expanding business requirements.
To realize the full benefits of flash, many organizations will transition their high-performance, latency-sensitive workloads to flash-based storage with NVMe. NVMe over Fabrics enables users to achieve faster application response times and harness the performance of solid state drives for better scalability across virtual data centers with flash.
Organizations can seamlessly integrate Lenovo Gen 6 FC networks with next-generation NVMe over Fabrics without a disruptive rip and replace. Leveraging the efficiency of NVMe over FC, combined with the high performance and low latency of Lenovo Gen 6 FC, organizations can accelerate IOPS to deliver the performance, application response time, and scalability needed for next-generation data centers.
Brocade Fabric Vision technology with VM Insight, an extension of Gen 6 FC, provides unprecedented insight and visibility across the storage network with powerful integrated monitoring, management, and diagnostic tools that enable organizations to simplify monitoring, increase operational stability and dramatically reduce costs. Lenovo Gen 6 technology builds upon years of FC innovation and leverages the core technology of Brocade systems to achieve continuous uptime with the industry’s highest reliability for the world’s most demanding data centers.
